Air flow
When you need an unobstructed view and can’t have air flow, Clear PVC is a great option. But if you want to enclose your verandah or patio while still allowing a cool breeze to pass through, choose a fabric with an open weave that has around 10% openness.
Durability
Fabrics used outdoors are exposed to various elements that can affect their quality. However, fabrics that come with DURAGUARD® Fabric Protection are designed to resist stains, prevent odour, inhibit bacteria growth, and deter mildew and fungi build-up. This ensures that your fabric remains in top condition for longer, despite being exposed to the elements.
Colour fastness
To maintain the original color of your awning fabric for years, it is important to choose a fabric with excellent fade-resistance to the sun. We recommend selecting a fabric with a fade-resistance rating of 6 or higher. This will ensure that your fabric retains its colour for a long time.
Privacy and view through
When choosing an awning fabric, you should be aware of the difference between open and closed weave fabrics. Think about whether you want privacy during the day or at night. An open weave fabric in a darker color provides excellent visibility during the day, but may also allow others to see inside at night.
