GlideView puts a retractable insect screen and a honeycomb blockout blind in the one system. Slide across whichever one you need, and both disappear out of sight when you are not using them.
The trade-off
Open the window for some air and the insects come in, and anyone walking past can see straight into the room. Close the blind for privacy and darkness, and the room goes still and stuffy by the afternoon.
Most windows make you choose between the two. GlideView is built so you do not have to.

Slide the insect mesh across. Windows and doors stay open, the breeze comes through, and the insects stay outside. The mesh softens the view in from the street during the day without shutting the room off.
Blockout across
Slide the honeycomb blockout across when you want the room dark. It runs inside a vertical rail on each side that holds the fabric firm against the edge of the opening.
Both retracted
Retract both and they sit out of the way. The window looks like a window again, with no fixed screen sitting across the view all year.
On the Classic model the blockout can be fitted inside a full frame, which closes off the gaps around the edges where light usually creeps in. Worth asking about if you are covering a bedroom.
Where it fits
Most blinds run out of width long before they reach a sliding door. Fixed flyscreens solve the insect problem but then sit there all year blocking the view you paid for.
GlideView spans up to 4 metres, or up to 6 metres as a centre opening on the Classic model. It works across sliding doors, bifolds, stackers and standard windows, and it retracts fully out of the way when you are done.

Both models do the same two jobs. The difference is how big they go, and how far the blockout is taken.

If the room needs to go properly dark, or the opening is wider than a standard window, Classic is the one to look at. Our consultant will work out which model fits when they measure.

No. GlideView can be fitted as a single, which is either the insect screen or the blockout blind on its own. The dual option is the one that gives you both, and it is what most people are after.
The honeycomb fabric itself is a blockout fabric. How dark the room goes depends on the model and how it is fitted. On the Classic model the blind can sit inside a full frame with a trim that closes off the gaps around the edges, which is what makes the real difference in a bedroom. Our consultant will tell you what your particular window can achieve.
Yes. That is one of the things it does better than most window furnishings. The Classic model covers up to 4 metres, or up to 6 metres as a centre opening, which suits sliders, stackers and bifolds.
The Classic model goes to 4000mm wide by 2800mm high, or up to 6 metres as a centre opening. The Slim model goes to 3000 x 2500mm for the insect screen and 1500 x 1500mm for the blockout blind.
Yes. GlideView is cordless and operated by a handle, so there are no cords hanging within reach. It carries ChildSafe accreditation.
The blockout fabric comes in White, Seaglass, Grey, Desert Gold and Black, with Black available on the Classic model. The insect mesh comes in Black, Grey and White. Hardware comes in Black, White and Grey.
