Sunbrella Acrylic Tweed

Since 1961, Sunbrella has been the leader in performance fabrics. No other resource is more committed to leading the performance fabric industry with fabric innovations that fit today’s busy lifestyles. With an array of new uses for Sunbrella including throws, rugs and sustainable fabric collections, the new generation of Sunbrella fabrics offers more possibilities than ever.

The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends Sunbrella as an aid in the prevention of sun-induced damage to the skin. Please use shading products featuring Sunbrella as a part of your complete sun protection regimen, including regular use of sunscreen. Does not apply to styles of Sunbrella that are designed for transparency, such as Sunbrella Sheers.

A recent study by the University of Minnesota illustrated that awnings made of Sunbrella fabrics reduce home cooling energy consumption by 10% to 60% and peak cooling loads by as much as 40%, depending on geographic location. Cooling requires less energy because the awning’s shade prevents the sun’s heat from entering the home through windows.
