Job Title: Factory Workers – Product Assembly and General Duties

Reporting to: Production Manager

Location: Hume, ACT

 

Purpose

Support the delivery and installation of Watson products through setting up, operating and maintaining machinery effectively, reporting issues quickly and following safety procedures. This results in high-quality products being ready for delivery in a timely manner, increasing customer satisfaction.

We are looking for Roller Blind Assemblers (including fabric cutters), Awnings Product Assemblers and a Dispatch Coordinator to join the team in our brand new factory in Hume, ensuring the production of quality products which meet our customers’ needs.

Full training will be given. You’ll get the opportunity to learn about the range of products we provide and work alongside the friendly and committed team that produce them.

 

Responsibilities

  • Understanding processes for the production and assembly of Watson products
  • Selecting and using machinery to cut fabrics according to specified measurements 
  • Using a variety of machinery and manual processes to assemble products efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and safe work space
  • Report any incidents according to Watson company policies and procedures
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures including the wearing of PPE as directed
  • Commit to upholding the Watson Values of Quality, Integrity, Ease and Experience
  • Other duties as required

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Follow instructions and work in a safe manner
  • Ability to learn new things quickly
  • Be organised and meet production requirements
  • Willingness to work in various areas of the factory
  • White card, asbestos safety and forklift licence would be advantageous but not essential
  • Computer literacy (data entry) would be beneficial
  • All staff are expected to share our values of Quality, Integrity, Ease and Experience.
